A thousand battles have I fought
A Legacy of blood and gold
Yet, looking back, 'twas all for naught
Alas! Have I become so old?
'Though savage born, I've worn the suit
And pledged my sword in service bound
Of Soldier, Reaver, Prostitute
To Golden Throne and Jeweled Crown
Now years weigh heavy upon my breast
Too long I've trod this crimson earth
I turn my gaze now to the West
Unto the city of my birth
'Tis here, before eternal waves
I lay me down on distant shore
Embrace me now, O End Of Days
Let this world trouble me no more
Life's Hourglass now drained of sand
No more to laugh, nor sing, nor weep
Commend my Spirit into Thy Hands
A final breath; Eternal sleep
